MANTIS (Atlanta, GA) – Heavy Artillery, BroTown, Play Me

Taylor Scott and Paul Ollinger, known as Mantis, are a relentless duo. Having begun their musical careers with metal & deathcore, the transition to heavy bass music has manifested itself into a world with spectacular tools to mix dense layers of music and deploy it with force. Mantis was formed in early 2011 to test the boundaries of metal-influenced production, while plunging the result into a wash of haunting atmospheres. Mantis wants to provide, “music to make you feel like you’re somewhere else, and you’ve never been more stoked to be there.”

With their goal in sight, 2011 was a smashing first year.  The momentum began in Atlanta, and overflowed with releases on record labels such as Play Me, Heavy Artillery, BroTown Records, & Abducted Records. A standard was set with the 2011 record, "All Worlds", their first EP, breaking the top 10 on Beatport's Dubstep releases, and held with 2012's "Futures" scoring #5 on Beatport's overall chart. The support of other artists such as Liquid Stranger, Downlink, Figure, Cyberoptics, Diesel, Genetix, Persist, & Sluggo, points to an accomplishment of musical influence on an international scale.

Playing in acts such as WLTP and Attila, Mantis has a history in Atlanta’s metal scene that has helped provide Mantis’ cornerstone of fierce stage skills.  Being known across the USA for throwing down an aggressive live show with unmatched energy and only the heaviest bass music, Mantis' reputation stands as being one of the gnarliest new production teams in the scene.

With packed crowds at hand, and Beatport charts at their feet, only one goal remains: to raise the awareness of metal-influenced bass music... oh, and world domination.

Spenca (Dallas, TX) - Prime Audio, Badman Press

Spenca has been a producer since the age of twelve, always hungry to learn how songs he listened to were put together.  He began producing hip-hop beats, and then later expanded to Dubstep and bass music.  Some of Spenca’s inspiration comes from artists such as Rusko and Bassnectar. He has had a few artists use his tracks, including the Juggernaut's remix of Spenca’s unreleased track, "Do It Live,” which was featured in Skrillex and 12th Planets’ Ultra Music Festival mix.  He has been experimenting with styles all over the EDM spectrum, and you can expect a cross-genre mash style he is developing, combining funk, hip-hop, dubstep, and house, for the rest of 2012.

Trevor Williams and Sean Hadeler, known as Painting The Prototype, is a two-headed electro fueled monster.  After two long years in the studio PTP is ready to take their innovative brand of Electro House on the road. Their live shows have been called, "energetic and infectious,” and bring screeching synths, robotic vocoders, pumping drum machines, Live Sampling, and custom programmed lights. If Daft Punk and Deadmau5 got together and had a child, they would have named it "Painting The Prototype".   PTP has been hard at work crafting their own unique blend of Electro House and Dubstep that takes the audience through an emotional journey of peaks and valleys. Painting The Prototype is looking to win over fans, festivals, and venues as they break new ground in Electronic Music.
