NYC-based promotion company Area Event announces the launch of “Daydream” - a brand new summer DJ event series at The Pool @ Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City on Sunday, May 29, 2011. This special Memorial Day weekend launch will feature the Atlantic City debut of international superstar Calvin Harris, NYC favorite Victor Calderone and a line-up of 30 DJs across two stages (big room by the pool and a terrace overlooking the bay).

Conceptually, “Daydream” is about creating a clubbing experience that’s so incredible and unique that you’ll relieve each event in your mind long after the lights go dark…you won’t be able to wait for the next weekend to start. It’s about pairing together the hottest DJ talent from both the international and American markets in the ideal outdoor setting for the summer months.

Much has been made of the recent dance music explosion in Las Vegas. With “Daydream” Atlantic City throws its hat into the ring as this marks the famed seaside city’s first ever day time pool party to feature electronic dance music. In fact, this is one of the few day time pool parties to ever happen at the Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City. We want to stress that the Harrah’s dress code policy will be lifted for all “Day Dream” events and encourage attendees to wear their best bathing attire to the pool!

“Daydream” is destined to be the latest in a series of great parties Area Event has produced at The Pool at Harrah’s Resort. It all started 2007 with “Aquatic Saturday at the Pool” which averaged over 3,000 satisfied partygoers per week and was the largest weekly club party in the United States. It was also nominated for a prestigious Club World Magazine award 2 years in a row. To date, Area Event has presented the Atlantic City debuts of Deadmau5, Steve Angello, Victor Calderone, Chus & Ceballos and Dirty South; and additional performances by Will.I.AM, Pauly D, Boris and many more at The Pool at Harrah’s Resort. “Daydream” marks Calvin Harris’ Atlantic City debut.
