The man, the myth, the legend:
ORIGINAL SIN
Playaz Recordings, Ganja Records, www.myspace.com/originalsindnb // Newcastle, United Kingdom
While some of you may not be 100% familiar with the name Original Sin, all will become clear when you realise that this is the new production alias of none other than Adam Tindall, one half of the undisputed kings of Jump Up Drum & Bass, G Dub. If you consider yourself a fan of Drum & Bass then undoubtedly you will have heard of G Dub, the Geordie duo who have been destroying raves with their inimitable blend of rig mashing beats for over half a decade, and it’s thanks to this tireless reputation for crafting straight up club bangers that Adam has become renowned for his outstanding studio skills. Born and bred in Newcastle, Adam was initially drawn to Drum & Bass by the diverse sounds and inspirational production values collectively provided by some of the scene’s most respected names. Albums such as the incredible ‘Platinum Breakz’ compilation from the Metalheadz camp, and Grooverider’s legendary ‘Prototype Years’ album sucked him in and started him on a journey that would see him rise to the very top of the Drum & Bass scene. His love for the music grew and grew until the desire to become more actively involved in the scene took hold and he took up DJing shortly before enrolling himself at Music College. Dedicating all of his spare time to honing his craft, Adam met up with Jake at college, and that’s where the infamous Generation Dub was forged. However, it wasn’t long before the pair realised that Music College, far from teaching them the skills required to create the kind of beats their musical heroes had inspired them with, was actually a pointless pursuit and they both decided to quit to concentrate on their music at home. Adam already had a reputation as an excellent local DJ around Newcastle, including at his own Area 51 events. Using his DJing as an opportunity to road test his tracks and to give them to visiting headliners for feedback, Adam quickly started to get encouragement from the bigger names in the scene, and it wasn’t long before none other than DJ SS snapped up two of G Dub’s early productions for his Reformed imprint. ‘Ghost Busters’ and ‘Monster Sound’ were well received, and with this new impetus spurring them on the pair knuckled down in the studio, creating a succession of dancefloor killers that cemented their reputation as one of the hottest new acts around; their reworking of Total Science’s classic ‘Champion Sound’ and ‘Body Snatchers’ on Formation in particular marked G Dub as a name to watch. Of course the successive deal with DJ Hype & Pascal’s immense Ganja imprint proved to be the making of the G Dub franchise; anthems such as ‘Tink Ya Bad?’, ‘Warp Speed’ ‘Forever’ and ‘Beast City’ firmly established within the annals of 21st century jumpup classics. From now on however, G Dub is no more and Original Sin is the future for Adam. The ridiculously heavy ‘Don’t Be Silly’ and his remix of Shy FX’s classic Ebony Dubsters track ‘Rah’ have gone a long way to stamping his individual mark on the Drum & Bass scene and there’s no signs of slowing down. Original Sin’s DJ bookings have gone through the roof and Adam is working hard in the studio to ensure that his new alias has even more success than his previous incarnation; 2009 finally heralded the recognition he deserved, the Drum & Bass Awards in Birmingham crowning him both best breakthrough DJ and producer. 2010 saw him win for both Best Producer and Best Track. By all rights you have certainly heard the name Original Sin now.
2CENTS
Formation Records, WODNB, Compression, Sublife Recordings // San Francisco, California
Known around the globe for their "dirty business", 2CENTS have been at the forefront of professional Drum & Bass for over a decade now. Sponsored by the London based WORLD OF DRUM N BASS, they have rocked their Hyphy Bay Area Bounce for crowds all over the US and Europe. They have been covered in international dance music publications such as XLR8R, and were the featured artists on The World Of Drum and Bass 10 Year Anniversary Mix. Their style is rowdy, lyrical, and absolutely funky. Behind the decks, 2CENTS exhibit next-level skills learned as founding members of San Francisco's seminal Drum & Bass scene. From residencies at legendary nights like Phuturo and Density, to the start of their own crew and night COMPRESSION (running for 10 years now in the Bay), 2CENTS have perfected the art of building up dancefloors to a frenzied pitch, and then dropping bombs on people's Moms. Through their reputation on their DJ skills alone they have trotted the Globe. In 2007 2CENTS added "producer" to thier resume, remixing Romanowski's "Lord Of The Pants". Since then, 2CENTS' tracks have been picked up by Formation Records, Sublife Recordings, and many more on deck. Following their 2009 release "Taking It To The Streets", 2CENTS have been busy in the studio. With a flurry of new tracks to come, these boys have been banging out ever kind of DnB there is, from Soulful to Dancefloor Killers! 2010 is primed for 2CENTS to become as well know on Wax, as they are behind the decks!

DISCIPLE 13
180 Degrees // Atlanta, Georgia
Like many others, Disciple13 found the Atlanta EDM scene in the late 1990s. After a few years soaking up all the different genres he found his home with drum'n'bass. He started djing in the spring of 2002 and by the following year he had his spinning debut at the Rain Lounge in Stockbridge, Ga. He quickly rose as a star in the Atlanta locals scene and joined up with Resource another local Atlanta crew and in June of 2005 he was inducted into the machine that is 180 Degrees. Since his humble beginnings he has landed gigs with powerhouses such as Noisia, Calyx, Spor, D-Bridge, Big Bud and many many others with his bassline driven, kick you in the fucking face, style of drum'n'bass. His engulfment within the scene encouraged him to get on the mic and since august 2005 he has also Mc'd for the likes of DNB powerhouses such as Vicious Circle, Quadrant, Spor, Ewun , Evol Intent and Chris Renegade. In January of 2006 his creative wheels started turning further and his has since gotten involved in the production side of dnb.
