THE TRACK SUBMISSION PERIOD IS NOW COMPLETE.  VOTING WILL BEGIN, TUESDAY 5/17.

Amateur artists, DJs, and producers of electronic music: the producers of Sonic Bloom and TheUntz.com have once again joined forces to give you a chance to DJ AT SONIC BLOOM.  3 amateur DJs will join Tipper, EOTO, VibeSquaD, Zilla, Janover, Mala, MartyParty, David Starfire, Heyoka, Break Science, Random Rab, and a slew of heavy-hitters June 24-26 at Sonic Bloom in Georgetown, CO.   We're looking for YOUR best unreleased original track.  Last year’s winners included Project Aspect, Unlimited Gravity, and Psymbionic.

The Details

A total of 3 DJ slots will be given away to the winners of this contest. The submission period begins April 25th and will run through May 13th. The top tracks, as chosen by Sonic Bloom and The Untz, will be posted on May 17th at www.theuntz.com for public vote. Fans will have a chance to place their vote through June 3rd.  The top 3 winners of the fan vote will be announced June 6th.

Rules & Restrictions

1. You must write and produce your own material. Limited use of samples is acceptable, however the most points will be given for originality in compositions and style. NO REMIXES.  DO NOT SEND US A WHOLE SET OF MUSIC.

2. Both instrumental and non-instrumental tracks will be considered, there is no limit to your creativity, although it is up to the contest judges’ discretion whether or not the material can be considered “electronic music.”

3. DJs can submit only ONE PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED TRACK for consideration. If you try and submit more then one track, only the first submission will be considered for the contest.

4. All material must be submitted directly through the djatsonicbloom SoundCloud dropbox (www.soundcloud.com/djatsonicbloom/dropbox) or on The Untz or at theuntz.com/Win-a-DJ-Slot-at-Sonic-Bloom-Festival-2011. (Dropbox will be live on page starting April 25th.  Do not submit tracks before April 25th.) 

5. On May 17th, the finalists will be placed on-line at  theuntz.com/Win-a-DJ-Slot-at-Sonic-Bloom-Festival-2011 for public vote. Voting ends on June 3rd, with the Top 3 being announced on June 6th. Be sure to encourage your friends and fans to vote!

6. You must make your own travel arrangements to the Sonic Bloom Festival site for the performance. If you cannot provide your own transportation to the event, the next place winner will be chosen. The contest winner will also receive two 3-day festival passes to enjoy the 3-day camping event at the beautiful Shadows Ranch in Georgetown, CO.

Sonic Bloom is a 3-day camping festival that will bring electronic music, dance, art and human performance together in an atmosphere that inspires open channels of creativity for everyone involved, but most especially the audience...

With a river running right through the festival grounds, the new site is filled with flat, shaded riverside tree camping AND with parking ON SITE.  (limited car camping & RV spots may also be available). NO MORE SHUTTLES!

You can look forward to many more musical artists this year on 2 stages in a most incredible mountain setting, as Sonic Bloom now comes complete with multiple fire-pits, a pond, chill zones, art installations, workshops, vending, yoga, performances and a next-level sound and light show experience.
