Fade the lights down as low as possible, relax, and prepare to have your mind blown.

The Tide, the newest release from duo Wildlight, is somehow almost too appealing. Ayla Nereo and The Polish Ambassador a.k.a. David Sugalski together have conjured up something inherently calm—something inherently beautiful—that is captured within the project.

From the start, The Tide will grab your undivided attention. Imaginative use of percussion, and similar to the entire release, an emphasis on string instruments, are combined to display all of the best things Wildlight has to offer, beginning with tracks like “Rain” and “Ours to Give.”

WildlightA perfect balance of warm, echoing vocals and sleek instrumentation makes “Grace, Fully,” stand as one of the most tranquil tracks off the release.

Another notable song, “Move Like the Ocean,” alternates between diving and climbing various layers of percussion, synths and Nereo’s breath-taking voice, making you feel as if you’re riding constant, yet gentle waves in the middle of the sea.

The Tide never loses its momentum, even as it nears the end. “The Lantern” takes you on an upbeat journey, complete with claps and catchy lyrics, which will inevitably land the track in your “Most Played” playlist.

Finishing things up is a reprise of “Holy Dust,” also from the release. Not only does it utilize different drum patterns, but also there is seemingly less going on, which allow the vocals and melodies to appropriately shine through.

As with all Polish releases, you have the option to “Name Your Price!” for The Tide—show some support, and grab the download today! You won’t regret it.
