Trance and dubstep have never been the best of fans. They have completely different foundations in regards to their individual sounds, and fans in both scenes often have little respect for the other.
 
Don’t tell Seven Lions (Jeff Montalvo). The producer out of Santa Barbara has exploded to glory at an incredible rate this past year with a knack for combining elements of the two genres, and in tern creating breathtaking soundscapes that will appeal to all audiences. You could call him a peace offering from dubstep to trance, as he single handedly works to bridge the opposing scenes in hopes of creating one united force.
 
On a preview of an upcoming release by Mr. Montalvo, we witness him debut a passionate revamp of a classic Tritonal track off their 2011 breakout release Piercing The Quiet, as he continues he streak of taking on momentous trance tunes. “Still With Me” is a hauntingly touching remix that will instantly grip the soul of anyone tuned in, and hold on till the very last note. Montalvo churns up the track’s buttery trance feel, adds just the right amount of dub, and in turn produces a series of enthralling instrumentations that perfectly accommodate the songs heavenly vocals. The drop contains chopped up, high flying synth progressions and charismatic drum hits; a perfect combo that will enamor anyone tuned in. 
           
Seven Lions puts his unique spin on another ubiquitous trance anthem, while adding to his collection of groundbreaking cuts that are undeniably fresh. Be on the lookout for the official release of this song on September 3rd, which will be included on Tritonal’s Piercing The Quiet: Remixed 2-disc album.
