Summer Camp 2015I've been going to Summer Camp Music Festival for more than a decade. It's my home festival. Over the years, I've caught some of my favorite artists of all time there, like Toubab Krewe, Family Groove Company, The M Machine, Groovatron, Liquid Stranger, Trey Band in that nutty lightning storm, and some of the best Umphrey's sets in history. I'm talking blistering sets.

With this cherished history in mind, I feel like I've got what it takes to pick which standout acts will throw down especially hard at SCamp, especially on the electronic side. Some of them are granted, so I don't bother to waste your time with those: STS9 is going to drop the hammer, as are Digital Tape Machine (almost certainly with some very special guests), Turbo Suit, The Floozies, and Manic Focus. Those are givens. Hell, the most important sets to catch are honestly Steve Miller Band and the Violent Femmes. That's the jam right there!

I do feel the need to emphasize certain acts, though, especially on the electronic side of the equation. Particular sessions that you might be on the fence about, or even thinking you might have to skip due to conflicts in the schedule. Do yourself a favor and take my advice. It may be counter-intuitive, but I promise you--I know how to Scamp, my friends.

10. Wick-it The Instigator

Wick-it The Instigator

Not one to be trifled with, I assure you. Andrew Owsley knows that special blend of classic and contemporary that will have fans frothing at the mouth over his delectable drops and baffling choices. Just when you think it can't get any crazier, Wick-it pulls the rug out from right beneath you. But you keep on dancing.

9. Filibusta

It's The Untz Challenge season, so we're fondly thinking of last year's winner, Troy Probst, who is absolutely demolishing the road right now. He'll have his full band with him, no doubt, and does he know how to party...

8. Haywyre

How many times do I have to tell you: NEVER MISS A HAYWYRE SET!
