Earlier this week, a tense meeting was held in the Future Funk division at TheUntz.com headquarters.

There had been talk following The Floozies' wildly successful winter tour, sponsored by The Untz, and stretching across the Plains, into the midwest, and down into the southeast, including dates with Lettuce, that perhaps it was time for ties to be severed between the two parties.

The success of Tell Your Mother, released on GRiZ's new Liberated Music label had propelled brothers Matt and Mark Hill into an echelon of superstar acts, landing them on SnowBall, Euphoria, CounterPoint, Purple Hatter's, Summer Camp, and Wakarusa, among many other festival bills. The brothers were spending night after night out on the road, and members of the FF department had taken to eating pints and pints of Häagen-Dazs in bed, calling the Hill brothers drunkenly late at night, just to ask them what they were thinking about. The str
ain was almost too much.

But at this meeting, Col. Sampson Simpson, professor emeritus of Bootsy Collins Eyewear at Hofstra University slammed his fist on the table and declared the following about The Untz's relationship with the live electronic duo from Lawrence, KS:

Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

So there you have it. TheUntz.com is back again, sponsoring a string of dates with The Floozies. You can catch them first at 1904 Music Hall in Jacksonville, FL on March 27th. Then, they'll hit Minneapolis and Madison on May 2 and 3, and we're going to be launching some special giveaways for those shows, so stay tuned.
