Favorite ThisSonia Calico can do wonky bass, too. We're so pumped.

Sonia CalicoWe had to do it. We had to convince Muti Music to give us another shot at Sonia Calico's new EP.

The new collection, Fake Jewelry, drops on February 3 on Muti, and it really does defy categorization. She's all over the yard. Glitch-hop, trap, breaks—it's all in there.

Last week we premiered, “The Beat,” is a multi-textural uptempo future bass type thing, but “Fish Dish” is on a whole other planet. Definitely has a west coast bass feel, but there are hints of her Taiwan homeland fitting into the mix, as well as indescribable elements that take the piece to the next level.

Trust me when I say we're hoping she goes on a little US tour once this EP is out early next month. She's made a fan out of us, that's for sure. Muti knocked it out of the park on this one.
