Sol Rising’s newest single “Harps and 808s” is a chilled out exposition on his hip-hop and soul infused electronic music production. The Santa Monica-based producer set out to create a perfect fusion of the beautiful, hypnotic trill of a harp and the groove of warm bass and simple 808s. His signature shoegaze vocal effects serenades us throughout. The result sounds like the soundtrack to the pensive thoughts of a turntablist.

Sol Rising’s fourth full-length release of all original production drops on May 31st. The Chillout Sessions is notably more of a slow flow than his past work, featuring 7 tracks merging deep trap and chill wave. These beats were crafted with the dual purpose of listening while relaxing night or day, and to inspire lively movement while vibing out to an epic sunrise. After performing at a string of Wanderlust 108 events this Spring, Sol Rising’s 2016 World Tour is off and running with these upcoming dates.
