Grammy award winning singer Adele recently received the opportunity to apply her heartfelt vocals to the new Bond theme song, and it’s something everyone is talking about. The ubiquitous artist held nothing back on “Skyfall,” and today we have a dubbed out revamp by MING
with emotion written all over it.
The mind-blowing track builds steadily with passionate piano chords from the original, but with an eccentric infusion of tantalizing electricity surging through them. This provides a solid foundation for Adele’s soulful voice progressions, as haunting snare hits work their way into the equation. These elements carefully solidify before unexpectedly fading out, and setting up a synth-smacking drop to titillate your heightened senses—relentless, poignant, and entirely addicting. The songs continually changing fluctuation gracefully juxtaposes peaceful and chaotic moments throughout, resulting in pure unadulterated gold with each burst of musical craftsmanship.
MING+Jumpshot give listeners a fresh take on “Skyfall,” and it does not disappoint. We can only hope this version snakes its way into the movie, because anything less would be a disappointment.
