Favorite ThisRustie cancels shows to focus on mental health, addiction issues

RustieToday Scottish electronic and hip-hop producer Rustie (born Russell Whyte) announced via social media he would be canceling his forthcoming shows to focus on mental health and addiction issues. The 32-year-old performer and producer was slated to appear at Insomniac's Countdown NYE event in San Bernardino, CA on December 31st, and was to join the Holy Ship! cruise departing Miami, FL on January 3rd. No details have been released as to the specific issues Rustie is battling.

Whyte was signed to Warp Records in 2010, and recently released his third studio album, Evenifyoudontbelieve, via the tastemaking label early last month. He has collaborated with rapper Danny Brown, as well as AlunaGeorge, and has three EP's to go along with his previous Warp releases Glass Swords and Green Language.
