The electronic music scene in Boulder, and really all of Colorado, has gotten out of control. Amazing productions and jampacked clubs and theaters are the norm in the entire Denver region. One group has risen to the top of their class in just the last year: Robotic Pirate Monkey. This trio is carving their own niche with bass-heavy remixes of oddball hits and crowd favorites. With a couple of successful releases already in the bag (Jungle Tales, and Sidetracked), RPM is moving towards another brand new release.

On today's episode, Adam Hathaway, Matt Flesher, and Matt Berryhill discuss the origins of their cohesive unit, driving around listening to FM radio, and some of their biggest Colorado scene influences. They also talk about the benefits of having fast computers and nice VSTs.

The band will be releasing a new album in the near future, and will be joining Big Gigantic and Paper Diamond at CU-Boulder's Welcomefest tomorrow at Farrand Field. That's a free show, freshmen!
