As teased, PROKO just dumped a white-hot mixtape on unsuspecting bass fans across the country. Troy Prokopowich warned us that it contained 12 unreleased tracks, as well as a number of ID's and freshies from big names in the game like G Jones, Bleep Bloop, and Ethan Glass. And yeah, he's got that Bassnectar edit PROKO fans have been fiending for.
Let's talk highlights: obviously Chee. been blowing up way hard since he dropped his Saturate debut. His unreleased collab with PROKO is just what you want to hear; the right balance of “wtf” and “ayyyy” to put it in scientific terms. There are some personal favorites of mine including his NastyNasty and Shlump remixes of “Helioscopic” and “Fracture,” respectively (speaking of Saturate).
These #slimepunk'ers are bringing the mixtape back—and hard.
The best part about all this (aside from the incredible assortment of fresh tracks), is that it's reading from The Untz Festival's diary. You've got unreleased collabs, remixes, and originals from Shlump, Space Jesus, Sayer, Yheti, NastyNasty, and Liquid Stranger, amongst others. Adding PROKO in Phase 2 was just about the smartest thing we've done in the past month, wouldn't ya say?
Prokopowich is steady touring around through the spring. Gonna imagine his calendar's about to fill up even more now. Better just sit tight and get your tickets to our festival just to be safe: www.theuntzfestival.com.
