Jay Jaramillo is a chameleon. The Denver-based producer has proven time and time again that he can do it all. From mainstream pop remixes to underground bass anthems, the ProJect Aspect vault is all about variety. Tomorrow, May 5, Jaramillo drops his latest album, Activated Surroundings on 1320 Records.
Today's premiere, "Bliznitz," sounds like a lost instrumental from the new D'Angelo record. With chill trap influences and a liquid cool hip-hop aesthetic, the downtempo piece is the highlight of the album, which features tons of future funk, trap, and of course, plenty of bass. But this one demonstrates ProJect Aspect's ability to really step outside his comfort zone and drop a track that's chill, but will still send the crowd into a frenzy.
