For years now, Autonomous Music has cemented itself as one of the foremost agency and management outfits in the cutting edge music industry. Always able to cultivate the careers of burgeoning artists in the world of hip-hop, indie electronica, transformational music, and beyond, the boutique firm has taken to introducing (and reintroducing) its diverse roster with the Array series. Volume 4 drops on April 3rd with 26 tracks from all over the map, including new ones from TAPES and 9Theory.
Today's premiere features one of our all-time favorite producers, ill-esha, wrapping up the Bay Area's Zion I in a tangle of cunning beats, shimmering synths, and plenty of bass. Zumbi's deft verses are complemented by Elysha Zaide's own vocal prowess, making a real mainstream friendly combo out of the work of two staunchly underground acts.
The result is a gorgeous hip-hop joint that highlights the skills of these two incredible acts, while blending all sorts of contemporary electronic sounds into a tight package. ill-esha knows how to drop the bass, proper.
