Three titans of the jam community are moving in on the Art Outside lineup. Papadosio, Dopapod, and The Werks have long been fan favorites of the jamtronica set in the midwest and northeast, and now the trio of talented acts is headed to Apache Pass in Rockdale, TX from October 22-25.
At last year's Werk Out Fest in Ohio, the three artists combined for a rousing rendition of the Pink Floyd classic album Dark Side of the Moon from start to finish, with a few fun guests thrown in along the way. It's not clear if there are any Werksadopadosio plans even in the works (pun most definitely intended), but it's fair to see these fiery acts are going to be laying it all down come late October.
Also making their way to the lineup with this second wave are Kalya Scintilla & Eve Olution, Birds of Paradise, Exmag, Freddy Todd, Abakus, Vibe Street, and one of our all-time favorite acts, Haywyre. These acts join BoomBox, Bluetech, Gaudi, Lettuce, Michal Menert, Greensky Bluegrass, The New Mastersounds, Nominus, Sixis, and a barrel of acts already announced in the first wave. The electronic offerings are enough to seal anyone's attendance, but combine that with incredible rock, jazz, funk, and bluegrass, and you're looking at a festival that has absolutely hit its stride.
Art Seen Alliance doesn't just get the best music, though, it is a feast for the eyes with all the installations, performance artists, and wild visual media of all stripes. Check out our colorful slideshow from last year.
3-day Tier 1 passes are still on sale (though in limited quantities) at the ridiculously low price of $99. Throw in the Thursday pre-party with a 4-day pass, and you're looking at only $119. It's kind of insane for a festival of this magnitude. You can also get your enhanced experience Monarch passes, as well as RV and car camping passes at artoutside.org/tickets.
Don't miss out on this one.
