A meeting of the subsonic minds is hitting DC at the end of the month. NexGen Music, a label focusing on dubstep, drum & bass, and the grimiest of the grimy is uniting the various bass tribes from the DC area and beyond to INK (1413 K St NW) for a label showcase that will not only demonstrate the talents of its roster, but will seek out newcomers to fill its ranks.
From the UK comes Rob Sparx, a legenday figure in D&B, with releases on Grid, Formation, Z-Audio, and more. He'll be joined by hometown heroes Bass Avengers from the Subdistrick crew, as well as J-Element, D.A., and so many more.
Beyond BASS HAZARD being a who's-who in the DC D&B scene, NexGen and the various promoters, labels, and industry types who will be on hand are seeking out the--pardon the pun--next generation of drum & bass talent in the city. Admission is free to those who bring a demo to submit, and it's guaranteed that demo will be heard by a heavy-hitter in the scene.
Grab your $5 advance tickets here, or pay just $10 at the door!
