Mountain Oasis

Each year at the end of October, hundreds electronic music fans join together in beautiful Asheville, NC to celebrate a pioneer in the EDM production industry - Robert Moog, inventor of the Moog synthesizer. Previously called Moogfest, this celebration has hosted some big names and created a wellspring within the dazzling Blue Ridge Mountains. This year, the festival has taken on a new and wonderfully appropriate namesake - Mountain Oasis Electronic Music Summit.

Designed around the concepts of contemporary electronic music and the creative use of technology – old and new – the festival will feature world-class musical performances you won’t want to miss. We’re talking Bassnectar, Pretty Lights, PANTyRAiD, XXYYXX, Cut Copy, Disclosure, Claude VonStroke, Baths, and others from our neck of the woods, in addition to a plethora of unique and intriguing acts like Nine Inch Nails and Animal Collective.

This musical experience will take place across several venues in downtown Asheville. The aim for this setup is to ensure each artist is in an atmosphere that is appropriate for their music. It ranges from amphitheaters to nightclubs (including late nights til 4 a.m.), all of which are excellent places to catch music in a city known for its expansive musical culture and contribution.

Tickets & Lodging
General Admission weekend passes are available for $199.50 and offer access to all Mountain Oasis venues, subject to each venue’s capacity. Entry to each venue is not guaranteed and will be based on a first-come, first-served basis. All VIP weekend passes are now sold out.

Since this is not a camping festival, Mountain Oasis has hooked up its attendees with discount codes for nearby hotels including the Renaissance Hotels, Springhill Suites, and Courtyard by Marriott. There are several other hotels, as well as campgrounds if that is your fancy, in the nearby area. Details for these are located on the travel info page.

Experience
The festival will be hosting a variety of talks, seminars, and panels featuring artists, musical instrument inventors, and others in the EDM industry. An incredible variety of craft beer will be offered throughout the event, with special experiences available for things like a brewery tour and sampling, a brewer's’ brunch, and selection of top notch locally brewed beer.

A synth event will feature a group of diverse manufacturer demonstrations followed by live performances. A Waves Audio demo will be given at a nearby recording studio, followed by a Q&A and opportunity for hands-on mixing. An art show featuring visual art and music that will combine in an enveloping experience will be on hand at one of the venues.

The city itself is brimming with extraordinary restaurants, eclectic art galleries, unique shops, and a vibrant cultural life, creating the perfect backdrop for the festivities.

The promoters of Mountain Oasis, AC Entertainment, are also the founders and producers of Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival among others. With over 750 concerts and events each year, they have become primary concert promoter in Asheville for more than 25 years and are gearing up to take this festival to a new and innovative level.
