Sometimes, the staff at TheUntz.com takes the time to spotlight artists who really are releasing cutting-edge material into the dance music community without the fanfare they absolutely do deserve. This is one of those times. While certainly fulfilling his role as "artists' artist," Morgan Page
has been prolifically turning out remixes at a furious rate only matched by its quality. Madonna, Katy Perry, your top run pop stars, sure--he's done them all. But where he truly shines is taking brilliant sugary cubes of goodness and reassembling them for the dance floor. He's been doing it for the better part of a decade and he's done it again with Meiko's "Leave the Lights On." It's a tour de force
of sultry sonic know-how. Perfectly encased in this whip-smart beat, the vox soar out of the track and into your heart. And yes, it's got something for everyone with feverish breakdowns and enough warbling bass blasts to keep the party grinding. Someone as well-regarded as Morgan Page is difficult to dub "unsung," but if his moment hasn't come, it's coming.
