Since ’08, Diplo’s traveling circus of high energy, trend-setting musical acts have been getting crowds loose with the Mad Decent Block Party tour, and it’s about to take over the nations capital in less than a week.

This year will mark the tour’s fifth year in motion, and it’s clearly the biggest yet.  Leading up to their D.C. show this Friday (August 2) at Merriweather Post Pavilion, the Mad Decent crew threw down sold out shows at Encore Beach Club in Las Vegas and Penn’s Landing in Philly, both great venues where the possibilities are always endless.

Each venue features a slightly different artist lineup. Washington/Baltimore attendees can expect Major Lazer, Zeds Dead, Flosstradamus, SBTRKT (DJ set), Skream, RiFF RAFF, GRiZ, Anamanaguchi, Lunice, and DJ Say Wut to keep you “turnt up” all day and into the night. Washington and Baltimore have always existed as cities with front-runner influence on the progressive side of mainstream music, so this party will surely be a banger for the books.
