Lightning in a BottleBeer, pools, and BBQ usually top the list of ways to celebrate Memorial Day weekend. I have one better: Lightning in a Bottle.

The adventure continues as The Do LaB is set to put on LiB from May 22-26, 2014. Technically, this year constitutes Lightning in a Bottle’s 10th anniversary, and I don’t see any reason we all shouldn’t go celebrate.

Moby, Little Dragon, and Phantogram stand atop this year’s lineup, and are joined by the likes of Beats Antique, Gramatik, Amon Tobin, Baauer, Gold Panda, Simian Mobile Disco, The Polish Ambassador, Cashmere Cat, and Claude VonStroke—among many more—this is just the start.

Smack dab between Los Angeles and the Bay, the San Antonio Lake Recreation Area in Bradley, CA is the new home of The Do LaB’s annual blowout. The California scenery is sure to provide an amazing backdrop for all the festival has to offer. From mountains in the distance to Lake San Antonio on-site, prepare for a wild weekend full of adventures.

Music
With over 65 music artists from around the world there is something for everyone. The best in live electronic hybrids, future beats, trap, glitch-hop, hip-hop, and psychedelic bass is represented—and repped well—by the startling variety of artists decorating this stacked lineup.

Art

The music is just the start of big things happening in Bradley, CA on Memorial Day weekend.
Art installations have become key to festival communities, and this festival is no different. Installations will be all over the grounds to showcase all of the talent in the community and provide inspiration to goers.

Lightning in a Paintcan is another special feature. Already in its 7th year, this event showcases artists live painting throughout the grounds. Afterwards, a silent auction will be held so you can have a chance to bid and take home your favorite piece! The money raised will be put towards public art programs.

The Do ArT Foundation is a non-profit art organization that makes art and art education accessible to communities who do not have the means for artistic expression. They will be at the festival to showcase and promote work and converse about ideas and culture through this.

The Temple
Lightning in a Bottle focuses on providing festivalgoers with an eclectic blend of elements all weekend long. “Designed to be a heart and mind expanding oasis,” The Lucent Temple is at the center of the festival, and is sure to touch all of your senses.

YogaYoga has been an integral part of Lightning in a Bottle, and this year its list of yoga teachers and followers has grown to include over 30 practitioners! Each day, from morning until evening, you can find a yoga or meditation class to relax and take in your surroundings. Radha & Goyind Das, Joan Hyman, Tony Giuliano, Kishan Shah, Gigi Snyder featuring The Human Experience, and Kate Duyn Cariati are only a few of the amazing yogis (and accompanying music artists) ready to enrich your LIB experience.

The Temple will feature music artists aside from the main lineup. Stellamara, Liberation Movement, Luminaries, Janover & reSUNator, Dirtwire, and David Block (aka The Human Experience) are just a few of the artists waiting to provide a diverse soundtrack, from calming to heavy beats to gospel and soul.

Expanding your heart and mind continues with a schedule of visionary speakers and workshops. The lineups will include bestselling authors, accomplished visionaries, and master lecturers sharing insights on subjects such as sustainability, human consciousness, and ancient civilizations. Hands-on workshops will teach skills and give you the opportunity to explore fields you’ve always wanted to investigate.

The Living Village & The Marketplace
The Living Village strongly represents Lightning in a Bottle’s core value of keeping life beautiful. Several micro-environments are constructed from recycled materials and provide guests with unique experiences. Ancestral art classes, ceremonies, and story telling are among the culture of The Living Village.

The Marketplace provides creators of all types to show off their goods and gives attendees the chance to bring home a piece of the festival.
