San Francisco's Liam Shy, a veteran local EDM producer and DJ, will be hosting an Ableton Live Workshop at the Supperclub in San Francisco on November 17th. He will be joined by Ableton Certified instructor Timo Preece, and they plan to cover topics including songwriting, workflow, live performance, DJ'ing and more.

Preece will divulge tips, tricks and workflow techniques that can drastically improve the quality and efficiency of your production and songwriting process. From designing original sounds to mixing down, he will shed light on many key elements to getting the most out of this popular multifaceted digital audio workstation.

Shy will present an inside look at one of his personal performance sessions utilizing the Akai APC 40. Get a behind the scenes tour into the world where DJ’ing, Remixing and Live Performance collide.

Timo Preece is an Ableton Certified Trainer who currently teaches at Ex'pression College in Emeryville. Privately, he does consulting, live performance set-ups and has worked with a wide variety of musicians, DJs, sound enthusiasts, and world renown artists. He's a multi-instrumentalist whom spearheads Gravity Terminal and Lucid Mechanism music projects.

Liam Shy has been DJ'ing since 2000 and graduated from the Pyramind Institute for Digital Audio.  He has performed at the Fillmore and Warfield Theatre as well as countless electronic music events in the Bay Area and beyond.
