DMVU has been blowing up our feed over the past couple months at an alarming rate. Everyone from Rezz to Bassnectar to Excision dropped his massive hit “Blocc'd,” which just got a vinyl release on TRUTH's Deep, Dark & Dangerous label. Then he got signed to the legendary UK label Circus Records, and proceeded to crank out a couple big tunes. On top of all the festival sets and club gigs that cropped up on the calendar, he also locked in a nationwide tour with Yheti this fall. But now for something completely different from Matthew Philpott-Jones...

Kruza Kid & DMVULong a staple of the Denver music scene, Zach Karuzas is also the co-founder of The Mile High Sound Movement, which has created a platform for the Rocky Mountain's talented up-and-comers, among whom DMVU can count himself. Best known as rapper Kruza Kid, now the pair have collaborated on a full album which drops August 30th on MHSM Records. Featuring special MHSM guests like Unlimited Gravity and Project Aspect, the new record Gemstyles gives fans a classic Kruza Kid sound and some head-nod hip-hop from Philpott-Jones that gives nascent fans of his a look at a radical new facet to his sound.

Today we're thrilled to premiere “My Oh My,” a chiller that fills the room with that sweet, sweet vapor. It's a laid-back cut with plenty of potential to slip into your end-of-summer rotation. Cool breezes, sippy cups full of jungle juice, and a White Owl pair perfectly with this sticky lil' ditty. Karuzas' flow is on point, and DMVU's jams are cooler than a penguin's sack (not sure if that's anatomically accurate, but for the sake of argument...).

Catch Kruza Kid with Grives and Sole at the Bluebird in Denver on September 10, and of course catch DMVU and Toadface on select dates with the Yheti man coast-to-coast this fall. It's going to be the biggest tour of his career—one that doesn't look to be slowing one bit.
