London-based duo Jack Beats
has been unleashing creative and anthemic tunes for quite a while now, but it seems only recently they have received the proper accolades for their ambitious work ethic. 2012 has undoubtedly been the group’s most prominent year to date--a slew of head turning remixes, a floor rattling EP via OWSLA, and as if that wasn’t enough, there’s more.
Jack Beats is dropping their Somebody To Love
mini-album on December 2nd, but today we’re lucky enough to have a taste of the first single. The title track for the release opens up with trenchant drum hits and distant, hauntingly gripping opera vocals--creepy as hell, but don’t be surprised if you end up pressing repeat right away. Following this is an addicting coalition of dance worthy synth lines and catchy vocals from Jess Mills, creating pure bliss with every infectious note. Bubbly bass lines consistently strike throughout the cuts unorthodox drop, while further solidifying “Somebody To Love” as pure gold.
Jack Beats for the win on this energetic gem. The two unstoppable producers continue their reign of venomous releases, and December could not come any quicker--consider our calendars marked.
