The Untz Festival Phase 1Melodic bass and dubstep is a rising genre in the EDM community that is slowly taking over lineup cards worldwide. Leading this siege is San Francisco-born Nick Miller aka Illenium. Since showing up in the EDM community a little over a year ago, Miller has kept up a blistering production pace releasing over twenty singles/remixes this past calendar year, all of which feature his signature anthemic sound that has dance floors in a frenzy.

His latest effort "Only One" featuring the explosive vocals of Nina Sung is another masterful addition to the Illenium discography. Following suit with most of his work, the song has an emotional intro, fueled by thoughtful words from Ms. Sung. This builds into an epic refrain we have come to expect from Miller. This cycle returns but not without getting more and more immersive and complex each second. Powerful dispersed bass and impactful lyrics guide the listener on the kind of emotional adventure we have come to expect from Illenium and by this song’s closing notes the listener truly feels they are at the end of a journey.

These days this Californian has moved his base of operations to the Denver, CO area but do not miss Miller’s return to his home state at The Untz Festival June 2-4 in Mariposa, CA. We at The Untz couldn’t be more excited to have such a unique and talented artist with us. He and fellow producer Said the Sky will be holding down the melodic bass fort there and we can not wait to see what they and the plethora of other performers have in store for us during what is sure to be a wild weekend.
