For years, Shane Madden has been a fixture in the psychedelic bass world. Tomorrow (September 19th), Govinda releases his lastest album, Transcendence, which he subtitles as Mixes from the Sun and Moon. What we're getting are different sounds from the Texas-based producer who fuses haunting strings with slamming bass.
Today, we premiere the lead track “Zenobia,” which takes a Syrian melody, and throws futuristic production techniques on top. It's bouncy, it's exhilarating, and it really sets off the entire album with its energy. The beauty and depth shine through in this song, and it gets us pumped for the release of the album.
You can catch Govinda live in Nashville this weekend, or next month in Denver with Shpongle and CloZee, or even out in San Francisco with Desert Dwellers, Soohan, and SaQi. Visit govindamusic.com to get his full tour schedule.
