Favorite ThisFast Nasty - Chemicals Man

Published: January 11, 2012

Just in time for a big Bass Church blowout in Asheville, Fast Nasty has delivered the goods. "Chemicals Man" is the kind of bass music Lil' Jon would make on a weeklong mescaline bender. Full of auto-tuned samples from Heroin Bob and Co. from seminal 90's black comedy SLC Punk, this stomp-clap glitcher features way far gone avant garde soprano sax warbles (Coltrane?), and the jerkiest hook you've seen since Christian Laettner was in the game. Sorry, Duke fans. It ain't about Durham, it's about Asheville. Mindelixir is bringing his crew, which of course includes Fast Nasty and The Untz fave Spooky Jones, along with local Bookworm (from Two Fresh's lab) for Bass Church Asheville Edition this Saturday at the legendary Orange Peel. Chemicals, man. They'll fuck you up.
