Favorite ThisEpisode 6 - DJ Vadim

This week on The Untz Podcast, DJ Vadim is the featured guest.  Vadim is a Russian ex-pat who grew up in England and cut his teeth on the hip-hop and neo-soul of the 80's and 90's.  As a producer, Vadim has worked with the likes of Prince, Stevie Wonder, Kraftwerk, and more.  In 2001, he was nominated for a Latin Grammy for his work with 7 Notas 7 Colores, a hip-hop group out of Spain.

DJ Vadim's beats defy conventional categories.  While a great deal of his work has been in the realm of hip-hop, he's most recently been on tour with Major Lazer and Bassnectar, spinning a heavily electronica set.  Besides being a DJ and producer, Vadim has his own label, Jazz Fudge.

Next week, legendary trance DJ Simon Posford is featured on The Untz Podcast.  Posford's work as Hallucinogen and as part of Shpongle and Younger Brother has cemented him as one of the most important figures in electronic dance music.
