Bassist Curt Heiny and keyboardist/producer Justin Aubuchon have teamed up to form the formidable duo Archnemesis.  Their sound is self-described as "intelligent electro-crunk," a deliberate conglomeration of stubborn glitch beats, pounding bass, and dirty samples.  Their EP Diamonds and Glass, which is available for free download from their website, is being released by STS9's 1320 Records this Thursday, October 7th.

Aubuchon's former band Land Squid and his solo project M.O. Theory opened for Heiny's band Telepath on several dates through the south and Atlantic seaboard.  Heiny told Aubuchon they should collaborate, and after a few months apart, they met back up and Archnemesis was formed.  Their debut record is expected to come out in early 2011, followed by a robust Spring tour.

The Nadis Warriors will be featured on next week's The Untz Podcast.  Their brand new double album Shamanic Invocations/Molly, Where Did Lucy Go? comes out on 10.10.10.

The first round of The Untz Challenge is underway.  Voting is now open in the Glitch My Breaks bracket of the competition.  Sixteen contestants are pitted against each other for one week of fan voting. The top two finishers will move on to the next round.  The top 8 finishers qualify to have their tracks critiqued by top industry producers like Dhruva of Sub Swara, Lotus's Jesse Miller, or Curt Heiny and Justin Aubuchon of Archnemesis.
