Favorite ThisEpisode 21 - Fort Knox Five (Rob Myers)

Published: July 28, 2010

Lazy artists, beware!  This week's Untz Podcast features Rob Myers, the tireless, multi-tasking mad man.  Myers traveled the world as a youngster before being dropped into a burgeoning punk scene in early-80's D.C.  When his own punk band disbanded, he picked up the sitar.

Fast-forward a couple of decades, and you can hear Myers' lush melodies on Thievery Corporation records, his beats on Fort Knox Five and Thunderball albums, and his guitar licks with D.C. reggae mainstays See-I.  While you were reading this, Rob Myers formed two
more bands and put out a solo record (for which he also did the artwork).

On next week's Untz Podcast, catch up with Eric Hilton of Thievery Corporation.  He's got a new movie out called "Babylon Central."
