With a flair for the dramatic, the new Cyberoptics full-length album dropped this week on Play Me Records. Blending dubstep and trap with huge, symphonic soundscapes, Alex Epps has crafted a singular sound that borrows heavily from sci-fi and fantasy with untold numbers of bizarre samples and references from long-forgotten B-movies bearing the forboding sounds of mass apocalypse and unknown terrors. It's no wonder his work found its way into Michael Bay's Battleship trailer. In fact, the whole Soular package serves as the soundtrack to an alien plague event. It's deep, it's powerful, and it's a ton of fun. Grab this one now on Beatport!
