Austin is producing more future funk bands than Longhorns, these days. We've come across yet another power trio of awesome in Collidoscope, who today reveals its Critical Mass EP. Hank Brigham, James Bobal, and James Hatch rip through four rowdy tracks on their debut release. Standout "Holy Cow" has more clavinet than The Band's "Cripple Creek," and will draw comparisons to The Floozies, to be sure.

The trio has a hometown show this very weekend at Euphoria Music Festival. They'll be tearing up the Jager stage from 10-11:30pm tomorrow night (Friday, April 10), so what better time than now do download their debut for free and get ready for action at Carson Creek Ranch.
