Fans of the psychedelic bass of Ott, Liquid Stranger, Kalya Scintilla, and Bird of Prey are going to flip out over the tasty tribal delights spun by newcomer Antandra. Fans out east might have caught sets by Jacob Louis at Kinnection or CoSM or other transformational havens out that way, but on September 30, psychill addicts will flock to catch Alpha Threshold as it drops on Mycelium Music (another big bastion of deliciousy dark up-and-comers in the trippy bass world).
Today's premiere, "The Village in the Sky," leads off this new Antandra record. Gorgeous, pulsing bass plays off the fancy flutework of Jonathan Arthur, and there's also some really gentle guitar elements courtesy of Beaumont Brown. Mastering is handled on the album by Asher Fulero, who fans will know as Halo Refuser, and the pristine sonic palette is absolutely incredible.
Catch this new LP in just over a week, and make sure to keep your eyes and ears on Antandra.
