Love and Light - Vapor Bracelet [EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE]

By: Anand Harsh

The unstoppable glitch-hop duo Love and Light is at it, again. TheUntz.com is thrilled to premiere their latest, "Vapor Bracelet," which is out today (March 18th) on Made in Glitch. The schizophrenic track bounces back and forth between dark and dangerous, to an all out groove-laden banger. From straight glitch-hop to syrupy electro, Matt Madonna and Ryan Anderson are still pushing the boundaries of production--their arsenal of sounds somehow envelop the complexity of Tipper and the swagger of 2 Chainz. And on the way to the drop watch out... uh-oh..."Oops!" There is an unmistakable aesthetic Love and Light are able to achieve with each cut they break off. And their dynamic live show has made the duo legendary on the festival circuit. Made In Glitch labelhead Matt B, a.k.a. Bass Science added his own trappy twist to the track. Remixes from jOBOT, Mr. Bill, and Smash n Grab round out the release. Grab it today on MIG!

Robotic Pirate Monkey - Booty Snatch EP

By: Bijan Mirkheshti

Robotic Pirate Monkey's new EP Booty Snatch just hit the shore with a loud crash. In my opinion, members Matt Berryhill, Matt Flesher, and Andrew Hathaway have truly redefined their sound during the course of producing these five new tracks. The guys of RPM demonstrate a very tasteful selection of heavy bass glitch hop which keep the listener satisfied through the whole EP. It seems the goal of this collection was to give listeners more melodies and harmonics with these heavy bass lines, which create a dynamic that's thoroughly enjoyable. I'm very glad they did not go with "mid bass screaching," "EDM trap," or "brostep"--they simply chose to create a sound that is not only DANCE music, but also BASS music.

This EP features 2 specials guests:"Port Side Bounce" ft. Late Night Radio (who opened for a sold out crowd with Two Fresh & Griz earlier this month at The Ogden in Denver, CO) and "Lazer Hook" ft. The Digitial Connection (Mile High Sound Movement) on two separate tracks, both of which are my two favorite tracks on the EP.

RPM just started up a 27-city tour with support acts Alpha Data, R/D, and Freddy Todd. With performances lined up for Summer Camp Music Festival and many more festivals along the way, look out for ROBOTIC PIRATE MONKEY in a city near you!

MartyParty - Do a Trick

By: Anand Harsh

If we're going to start giving credit where credit's due, then I'm going to go ahead and say MartyParty was miles ahead of the trap craze. Taking his purple energy and rolling some hats and snares in on top about a year, year-and-a-half ago, that's basically what everybody's doing now. So let's go ahead and give it up for Martin Folb, EDM's favorite South African transplant, now living it up in Brooklyn. In the midst of all that PANTyRAiDing with Ooah of The Glitch Mob, MartyParty has found the time to turn out "Do a Trick," which doesn't disappoint. Raw hip-hop flavor melded with his signature bass and layering makes this little ditty gift-wrapped for DJs jumping on board that new sound. Catch PANTyRAiD on the left coast the next couple of weeks for some sexy satisfaction.

Sweatson Klank - 15 Bucks ft Doc Illingsworth

By: Anand Harsh

Merging the worlds of hip-hop, R&B, and electronica, Sweatson Klank is leading the charge to put a little soulfulness back into the music industry. Formerly known as TAKE, Tom Wilson re-emerged as a sultry, sexy composer oozing with passion and deeply devoted to injecting story back into the electronic scene. Coming up as a pioneer in the beat scene, Wilson's alter ego Sweatson Klank takes the moody soundscapes of beat and floods it with emotion and guest vocalists and rappers who can provide the  sort of open-heart elocution the backing tracks demand.

Today's premiere of "15 Bucks" with rapper Doc Illingsworth traffics in the sort of personal monology that makes up You, Me, Temporary, Wilson's third, full-length album. The honest poetry of Illingsworth, coupled with the sparse synthwork sets the tone for what it is to be a broke artist hustling to keep up with work, relationships, and a dog-eat-dog lifestyle trying to bite your ass. The album, which will be released via German label Project: Mooncircle, is coming out as three vinyl LPs sprawling across 25 tracks featuring plenty of bonus instrumentals. With the release date set for April 2nd, we look forward to the variety of textures expected with this latest Sweatson Klank offering.

Candyland - The WMC EP [FREE DOWNLOAD]

By: Anand Harsh

It's time to get Rick Roll'd, Miami. Santa Barbara's Candyland just threw out a brand new, free EP just in time for WMC. The duo is hitting SXSW, first, but for the pair's Miami music week debut (at Mansion with Knife Party), they thought they'd celebrate with a little three-track sampler. "Rick Rollin" is a fun, trap take on the popular Rick Astley/internet troll go-to. But even more impressive is the dual takes on Timeflies' "Nothing At All." If you thought you could peg Candyland down to just trap and bass-roaring remixes, think again. Ethan Davis and Josie Martin are jumping into the house game with both feet. Or... all four feet. Four-on-the-floor. However that works. This big room track shows some impressive versatility from the pair. Grab The WMC EP now courtesy of AM Only.
