1015 has been synonymous with bringing you the next big sound in the world of music. Rewind to 2012 at the peak of the dubstep craze, there were whispers of a new movement that focused on the relentless sounds of Southern Rap; heavy 808 kicks and the constant ratchet of hi hat 16ths. The movement still did not have a face.

 

Later in the year we took the chance and booked the mysterious ︻╦╤─ ƱZ ─╤╦︻. His sound was raw and, ironically, his shrouded identity was the perfect face of TRAP MUSIC. Shortly there after, ƱZ became the ambassador of the Trap Music sound changing the face of club and festival music forever. He returned to 1015 to play MELT in 3D - a party on the bleeding edge of future music and immersive club visual experience. We heard that you couldn't get enough of his signature sound, so we had him back a few months later for a sell out show at our iconic post burn party - THE AFTERBURN.

 

Fast forward to today. Trap Music is in the limelight and ƱZ is championed by producers from Diplo to Skrillex. That's why we have gone all out and teamed up with the best Trap Music crew on the West Coast - TRAP CITY. On Friday April 18th we present Trap City with ƱZ and up and comers Tropkillaz from Brazil! There will be no other party in the country that can stand up to the force behind this one...

The mysterious ƱZ came up on the soundcloud scene about a year ago, with the amazing ŤɌ∆Ҏ ᶊῌῗ† series. With huge support from DJ's worldwide, the likes of Diplo, Flosstradamus, JWLS, Toddla T, Baauer, and Craze to name a few, UZ’s debut EP was released on Jeffree’s, a sub-label to Mad Decent.

 

"UZ tunes are drunken energy sub bass and cartoon horn stabs that make my stomach feel weird and my feet shuffle," Diplo writes. Raw and powerful, but with a laid back tempo, UZ gives listeners a chance to slow down without losing momentum.

 

The ƱZ phenomenon continues to be one of the most fascinating storylines in the electronic music landscape. The slick trap producer entices us with equal parts incredible talent and compelling mystery. That mysteriousness is, of course, rooted in his incognito disguise, a mask that seems to perfectly embody the brash attitude and dark mood of his music.

 

 

TROPKILLAZ

Tropkillaz from São Paulo are turning heads all over the globe with their bass heavy trap grooves that throw together samples from baile funk, samba to latin and electro into an irresistible sound. Not surprisingly, Tropkillaz is not a rookie project. There´s Zegon, legendary producer and DJ of N.A.S.A fame, and earlier part of Brazil´s highly influential rock-rap outfit Planet Hemp, plus Laudz, who produced Brazilian big name rappers such as Emicida, Projota, Rashid, MV Bill or Flora Matos. Tropkillaz international blog break came with their track “Mambo” in autumn 2012.
