-- About the Artists --

* FREQ NASTY *

FreQ Nasty has been a staple name in big room high-energy electronic dance music environments for over a decade and his new releases have expanded his legendary innovations inEDM. With origins forged in four separate nations (Fiji, New Zealand, the UK, and the West Coast of America), FreQ Nasty has leveraged his multicultural background to straddle and often buck the trends in electronic music culture. An innovator in the UK’s ‘Nu-Skool Breaks’ Movement in the early 2000’s, and an early importer of Dubstep to the US in 2006, his current productions range from peaktime bass heavy gut crunchers to deep and melodic dubwise vibes. After his early successes leading to a cover story in UK EDM bible ‘DJ Magazine’, he has collaborated with the likes of Bassnectar, Santigold & Switch and Marty Party, and done official remixes/production for artists including hiphop legend KRS1, Professor Green, Kelis, and Fatboy Slim. Today FreQ Nasty continues to push the boundaries of the dancefloor forward in his music production whilst sharing stages with Bassnectar, Beats Antique, Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, and Tipper among others. Also look for him touring the festival circuit performing with his live band “Dub Kirtan AllStars” and giving his lecture series “The Yoga of Bass”.

* DVS *

Amidst a land of hypnotic beats, catchy hooks, and majestic melodies reigns the music of D.V.S* (aka Derek VanScoten). His 2013 release "Hit the Clouds Running" was the apex of his career to date, marrying forward thinking electronic bass, drums and sound design, with classy guitar tones and timeless vocals. In 2009, the guitarist/ producer began releasing solo material and touring nationally. By 2012, D.V.S* had remixed Break Science and Talib Kweli, was featured on the Emancipator "Remixes" album, and had co-produced 2 tracks on Michal Menert's album "Even If It Isn't Right." In 2013 his remix of The Beatles' "Because" broke the top 5 on Hype Machine, and finally gained the producer international attention.

As a diverse performer, D.V.S* has spent considerable time on the road with electronic acts Big Gigantic, Beats Antique, Emancipator, Tycho, Cherub, EOTO, Lotus, Tipper, and Pantyraid. As a respected instrumentalist, he has played with a colorful variety of groups including the Boulder Philharmonic, DJ Logic, the Motet, and Devotchka.

*NICEFINGERS*

Comprised of members Nick Waterhouse and Dave Schneider, niceFingers is passionate about bringing lovable, amazing, uplifting, bumpin and straight dirty music to your eardrums. Recently reunited after living on different continents, these two musicians spent 2011 exploring the realms of intercontinental beat making. Being back in the same studio since 2012, niceFingers released their 4 track EP 'imagiNative' on Street Ritual Records in January of 2013. With a full summer tour schedule and another EP in the works, niceFingers has continued to churn out a plethora of unique remixes and originals.

It is no surprise that niceFingers has morphed into a composition/production duo determined to blend and bend the bass genre into something all their own. Delivering only the freshest tracks to satisfy your musical hunger, sit back and enjoy as the niceFinger vision continues to mature and evolve.
