LowRIDERz are sure to deliver sound like none other. Get in there and get worked by these beat beasts!
SHLOHMO
Twenty year old Shlohmo (living in LA and SF) delivers the soundtrack for the LA aftershow party. His tracks swarm from dirty textures, strange sounds, and obscured samples. It’s Hip Hop that you hear, the echoes are clearly there: under the blanket the beats are alive and kicking, the compression Is awful (as we love it) and from the way Shlohmo arranges his tracks, it is clear what this kid listens to at night.
SALVA
A versatile solo producer, crowd riling DJ, owner of the revered Frite Nite label (B. Bravo, Eprom, Ana Sia) and key figure in the Friends of Friends collective, Paul Salva knows how to control a room. After dropping one of 2012's biggest tracks, a collaborative remix of Kanye West's "Mercy" that not only reached #1 on Soundcloud, but received spins on Power 106 FM (LA), Power 105 FM (NYC), and Shade45XM, Salva's work promotes complexity through a synthesis of contrasting styles, showcasing dips into house motifs, grooves in smooth boogie funk, and massive roiling bass waves that has garnered support from the likes of Pitchfork, FADER, FACT, BBC's Benji B and Skream & Benga, A-Trak, Low End Theory, Snoop Dogg, Diplo, Dâm-Funk, Night Slugs, and many others.
RL GRIME
Seemingly out of nowhere, RL Grime has risent the ranks to the forefront of what is undoubtedly the future of electronic music. His debut EP “Grapes,” which included remixes from Shlohmo, Salva, and LOL boys was released in April ’12, and within a month had the world begging for more. RL followed with the international club anthem “Trap on Acid”, and immediately garnered the support of Diplo, A-Trak, Flosstradamus, 12th Planet, to name a few. RL Grime is reshaping electronic production. His melodically infused, Houston influenced flavor is connecting the southern hip hop with the new age of electronic dance music and in turn is dictating our understanding of what it means to be a 21st century producer.
