This week Temple Fridays presented by Rock It Science features a world renowned DJ and a favorite of San Francisco, DJ Icon and Rock It Science’s Eric Sharp. Strength In Flavor featuring CoFlo and Soulo1200 create an alternate reality in the Destiny Lounge. DJ Von and Tone will hit us with some hip hop in the Catacombs.

DJ Icon (Illeven Eleven, djicon.com)
DJ Icon blends breaks, electro house, and dubstep. At the age of 16, DJ Icon, started her career in the San Francisco underground DJ life. She quickly gained a large following and started to have residences, multi-national bookings, and timeslots on the radio and television. She was voted as Shejay’s “Top 100 Female DJ’s” and one of San Francisco’s best in the Nitevibe “Top 10 DJ Dreamteam” Poll. She has toured in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, and Asia. Some of the notorious nightclubs she has played sets at are 1015 Folsom and Ruby Skye in San Francisco, Limelight in NYC, Fabric and Matter in London, and Avalon in LA. She has also been at Coachella Music Festival, Ultra Music Festival, Burning Man, and Fuel Festival. With all this talent and experience, she is no doubt one of the leading ladies of Breakbeat.
Eric Sharp (Rock It Science Laboratories)
Eric Sharp has a knack for making parties even more exciting when he jumps into the DJ booth. He plays anything from Deep and Funky House to Dirty Acid Techno to pumping Chicago beat to Baile Funk to Baltimore Club jams to Wobbly Fidget House to French & Italian Electro and everything in between. He is the founder of the dance music label, Rock It Science Laboratories. Currently, he has a residency at Temple Nightclub and has been working diligently in the studio and has recently released an EP “Drop It Like” with DJ Fame.
Destiny Lounge: Strength In Flavor DVD Release
CoFlo is a part of the record label Flo-Ology Dance founded in 2000. It is a freestyle dance collective involved in many genres of music such as foundational house dance, hip hop, bboying/bgirling, capoeira, jazz, tap, ballet, and free style movement.
Soulo1200 has an irreplaceable love and passion for dance music in general. He says “For me, Hip-Hop was what I grew up doing. Locking is what I am most comfortable with now. House is what I love dancing to the most. Popping is what I would like to get good at someday.”
