Join us every Wednesday as we fuse the sounds of Dubstep, Drum and Bass, Trap, Moombahton, Glitch Hop, Drumstep, and everything in between to write the next chapter in this region’s bass music saga. No frills, no fluff, just industry champions and dedicated locals pushing our sound system to its limits every week. This is SUBstance.
About MONSTA:
Monsta has been described as having the melodic synth thrum of Flux Pavilion, the tech-soul vocal drops of Moby and the reverberant snares of trip-hop act U.N.K.L.E.. However, their sound is instrument-based and largely sample-free and it was Skrillex who found them. The production trio (producers Rocky and Rufio and vocalist Bryn Christopher) released their first EP on the dance music star's indie imprint OWSLA this past summer. Signed to the same management stable as Chase & Status, Knife Party and Sub Focus and remixing for artists such as Zedd, Labrinth and Skylar Grey; Monsta’s productions have been lauded by Radio 1 and Billboard Magazine. Monsta’s tunes have also been remixed by the likes of Dillon Francis, Alvin Risk, Skrillex, and many others. A regular feature on the club and festival circuit, Monsta has already wowed crowds at Camden Crawl, Wireless and Isle of Wight Festival and have been personally invited by Xfm’s Eddy Temple Morris to play a coveted slot at this years sold out Secret Garden Party. Get ready for Monsta to unleash a fury of bass as they make their first Northwest appearance at SUBstance Wednesdays on August 21st.
