Up Until Now featuring David Murphy of STS9

http://www.upuntilnowmusic.com/

The two members of Up Until Now have so far lived lives completely centered and orbiting around music. They come from a collective past involved in bands with genres of reggae, world beat, rock, hip hop, funk, electro-pop, NIN industrialism and even heavy metal. With this new project, they distill the pure essence in music that has always driven them, and channeled it into electronic dance music with the sole goal of making bodies move.

Sonkin

www.last.fm/music/Sonkin

Sonkin, a Rick Deckard/DJ Lethal hybrid, is becoming a force to be reckoned with in the brave new world that is Dubstep. He touched down in Philly in the Summer of '07 and has yet to look back. Sonkin was born and raised on death metal in sunny, Tampa, F-L-A to Russian immigrant parents with heavy classical music backgrounds. After fine tuning his skills at Full Sail and in the Orlando Drum n Bass community, he spent parts of 2005 and 2006 working with Russian Recording in Bloomington, Indiana. Nevertheless, Bloomington could not contain the production styles of Sonkin, so he and felinous side kick, Angie set wagons west, and trekked to the City of Angels. Perhaps it was the change of scenery or just the Pure Filth (soundsystem) and smog that inhabit the city of L.A. but Sonkin now knew that Dubstep would be the sound in which he'd hone in on and flourish. We can thank his last two stops, Los Angeles and his new home, Philadelphia , for the urban edge that has developed. Sonkin, no stranger to the festival circuit, has graced the bill with Snoop Dog as well as international electronic wonders such as, Shpongle, 2020 Soundsystem, Elliot Lipp, Joe Nice, MSTRKRFT, DubWar NYC, DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist, the Disco Biscuits, Biodeisel, KJ Sawka, Orchard Lounge, Lotus, and the MJ Project as well as other national acts.

Tucci

soundcloud.com/tucci

Tucci is a lifelong musician and relatively recent club convert who from the comforts of the suburbs once claimed he would never be a city person. Times change. Getting hooked on dance music and starting to DJ brought him closer and closer to New York City until moving in was the only option. Since arriving in Brooklyn in 2008, he's made a habit out of spending his weekends deep in the NYC club and underground party scene, collecting stylistic ammunition. Different nights would reinforce different elements of the music that makes Tucci tick; the 80's drums and basslines of Chicago & Detroit, brain-tingling touches of acid house, the warmth and heart of disco and the modest restraint of minimal techno. A "play anywhere, anytime" mentality has seen Tucci blurring genre lines for appreciative crowds at underground parties, music festivals, clubs, backyards, basements, and dorm rooms across 7 states
