OCTOPUS NEBULA, AN-TEN-NAE & DUBSKIN @ Fox Theatre - Boulder

As a band, Octopus Nebula seeks to create the kind of deep, multi-layered, psychedelic grooves that we, as individuals, have constantly sought but seldom found on our own musical journeys. Our writing is intended to convey the sound and emotion of a place... an experience... a time... It embraces many genres of music, conveying the essence of all without being a literal interpretation of any. In this process, we make a conscious effort to avoid the standard musical forms that have been exploited by so many other bands... no well worn blues, rock or pop formulas and no boring techno beats our listeners have heard a thousand times over. Instead of leading people by the hand through what they already know, we leave it to the individual to conjure up their own imagery, emotions, and experiences.



An*Ten*Nae is one of San Francisco’s most sought after DJs and live performers. He has taken the art of live remixing to new heights with his own customized setup, that bends genres in ways seldom heard. This sound is called Acid Crunk, and there are no rules, no restraints in its quest for pure sound that is not Homogenized. 2010 also sees the birth of An*Ten*Nae “The Live Experience, featuring an audio visual barrage including live drums and synths combined with dramatic theatrical and visual stimulation.An*Ten*Nae is an entity possessing the human mind of one Adam Ohana, giving him the ability to transcend above the constraints of music rigidity and transmit bass heavy, crunked out beats of the highest order. Besides DJ’ing and producing electronic music for over 10 years on a wide collection of esteemed labels, Adam Ohana has also been an instrumental part of the underground music culture in SF. From being the Music director at of San Francisco’s largest Club venue 1015 Folsom, to his production company called An*Ten*Nae Presents. These events helped break a lot of artists in Bass oriented music on the west coast, including Bassnectar, Glitch Mob, Rusko, Modeselektor and Tipper to name a few. His events have helped catalyze what is now a thriving music scene that spans the west coast and increasingly proliferating dance music culture as a whole.



Dubskin is a 5 piece Roots/Dub Reggae band from Ft. Collins, CO. After forming in 2006, Dubskin released their debut album "Love in spite of...". The album is a nice mix of past and present creating a new version of a familiar sound and was recorded/produced by Derek Smith of Pretty Lights. Dubskin has just released it's second album ''No end in time'' that is now available for FREE DOWNLOAD from www.dubskinmusic.com. The album was mixed/dubbed by Jason ''Jocko'' Randall of John Brown's Body and has created a strong buzz in the American reggae scene.
