ABOUT DROP THE LIME: Luca "Drop the Lime" Venezia has in many ways owned the New York club circuit for a number of years. Whether it’s his bizarre take on Chicago-house and grime on his Tigerbeat6 releases, the dark vocal-house under his Curses! moniker, or the fist pumping releases that his Trouble & Bass imprint peddles, you know that dude is on top of his game. He's made it out to Lights Down Low a couple of times now and ALWAYS is in top form and ALWAYS brings the heat to the dancefloor. DTL is one of our favorite DJ's/producers and we can't wait for him to bring his signature sound back to LDL.
ABOUT KOZEE: If you haven't seen Kozee DJ, you are truely missing out on one of SF's finest. She is one of our best friends and an LDL regular. This girl was born with bass in her bones and has experience in nearly every related genre. From grime to dupstep to most currently her stylings in UK Funky/Tropical/Garage, she is truely an expert DJ/producer and and awesome person to boot. We are thrilled to have her back!
ABOUT KURU: Long time collaborators Ryan Origin and Phear/Sucio wanted to change the way they were participating in music, so the KURU project was born. Rather than strictly following genre lines, they decided in 2008 that freedom to create and perform whatever they choose both in audio and design was the way forward. Flash ahead to 2011, Kuru’s original music is about to make a serious impact on the EDM world, and their club MUSE has gone through a successful reboot into a loving home for fans of progressive dance music. This is their first time at Lights Down Low and have a special closing set in the works that will keep you long after last call.
