Envyless Productions is teaming up with RISE to bring some of the standouts of The Groove Cruise to Boston's after-hours massive. Please welcome Chicago's Kalendr, Miami's Doc Brown, and our very own Leff LeClair, Richard Fraioli, and Austion Diogo.
Kalendr has tracks that have been climbing the Beatport charts and hit #1 on Ultra Records. Why do we love Kalendr? His specialty for reading a room and keeping the crowd pumped. If you’ve ever managed to survive past 2 a.m. on a weekend night out in Chicago’s night life and stumbled into Proof or Spy Bar, you know his late night sets are one of the Chicago scene’s best kept secrets.
Originally from Detroit, this Chicago powerhouse has had residencies in all the top clubs in the city and regular guest spots in all the hot spots nationally. His residencies both past and present include; SpyBar (one of ClubPlanet’s top 25 nightclubs in the US), Crobar, Sound-Bar, The Mid, Studio Paris, Proof, Enclave, Mannequin, J Bar, Rino, NV Penthouse, Cabaret, Krem, Level and Le Passage.
Not willing to limit himself to one city, Kalendr has also traveled the world playing clubs such as; Mansion (Miami), Cameo (Miami), Tryst (Las Vegas), Jet (Las Vegas), The Helvetia Music Festival (Sao Paulo, Brazil), Privilege (Bouzios, Brazil), as well as Atlantis and Island (Paradise Island, Bahamas), to name a few.
What you don’t know about Kalendr is that he’s produced and released over ten records in the past year and has shared the bill with big names such as; Tiesto, Deadmau5, Kaskade, Dirty South, Funkagenda, Benni Benassi and many other huge artists. He is a current resident DJ for the Miami Groove Cruise, as well as hosting and producing Groove Cruise Radio. He’s also the founder and co-owner of HouseLifeTV (a new, but already well-known Chicago based promotional brand which is set for significant expansion in 2012). With his co-creation of HouseLifeTV, Kalendr has the unique edge of being not only a DJ that will rock your crowd, but has the unique ability to create an additional buzz surrounding your venue with HouseLifeTV’s video and promotional team.
Unlike most DJs, every night that Kalendr spins, his main goal is to take the dance floor on an emotional journey. He creates an elusive natural high so many others attempt to achieve and fall short.
