~ SOLSTICE III ~

* FUTURE ROCK

Harmonized Records - Chicago, IL

http://www.futurerock.net/

http://www.facebook.com/futurerockband

Chicago's own Future Rock have carved out a category largely their own, adding drifting elements of Krautrock and space rock to rhythmic textures that reference Motorik, funk and four-on-the-floor disco. Outside of hometown Chicago, they may be best known for high profile and excellent remixes of Daft Punk, Neon Indian, Black Moth Super Rainbow and DFA 1979. Back home they are justly celebrated for legendary performances such as their set at Wicker Park Fest that turned the entire neighborhood into a vast and energized dance floor, forcing even the palest and most resolutely hard-to-impress hipsters to call up their inner dance masters. Live performances combine loops, samples and Mickey Kellerman's keyboards with Darren Heitz's drums plus Felix Moreno's Larry Graham-style bass slapping to create an enormously powerful groove. Their light show is as good as their music, and their set have been known to inspire dance frenzies.

* CYBEROPTICS

Play Me Records - Los Angeles, CA

www.Soundcloud.com/Cyberopticsdub

A young producer taking the dubstep world by storm, at age 19 Alex Epps aka Cyberoptics first made his big smash into the scene with his release "Geisha" on PLAY ME Records. Released in May of 2010, Geisha climbed to number 1 on Beatport.com and held it's place in the top 5 for over a month, battling producers such as Borgore and Doctor P.

Hailing from Memphis TN, Cyberoptics is greatly influence...d by the dirty south but also the wide varietys of electronic music aswell. With a unique style of different themes, deep sludge bass and heavy sub, it's almost impossible not to move your body to these alien sounding bass tones!

'Cyberoptics' 2nd release from Play Me Records "The Tie Fighter EP" exploded onto the Beatport top 20 with songs "Pimpin" hitting #3 "Geisha VIP" right behind at #4 and "Tie Fighter" and "Toasty" topping out at 14 and17. Cyber's unique style is constantly changing, Expanding and evolving more with every song and spark of inspiration.

Currently Cyberoptics is hard at work on a full length album, touring with Play Me heroes Reid Speed & FS, and working closely with other producers such as Liquid Stranger, D-Jahsta, Adroa, Phrenik, and Quartus Saul.

SHY GUY SAYS is an electronic music producer and performer straight from the Mushroom Kingdom, an 8bit villain ready to destroy any party at any time and somehow leave his victims wanting more. His eclectic, yet upbeat and danceable sound can best be described as a mixture of Hip Hop, Glitch Hop, Electro, Down-tempo House, Drum Step, and Ghettotech. It's know for its heavy rhythmic swagger, ...yet at the same time can be lush and loaded with dirty synth bass sounds, warm ambiance, and 8-bit glitches. His upcoming first full length album "The Technolocaust" is a self written, engineered, produced, and personally distributed project. His upcoming mixtape "Level 2" will feature various outtakes from The Technolocaust sessions as well as new previously unreleased material.
