With 25yrs behind the decks, the word “Veteran” barely scratches the surface when it comes to DJ Earic Patten. Washington, D.C. based Patten began DJing in 1989 and quickly became one of the region’s most important and influential DJs. Producing hit tracks on prestigious House Music labels Strictly Rhythm and Dancefloor Records, a Billboard Reporting DJ, along with a 6 year residency at the legendary Tracks D.C. nightclub where he played for thousands every Thursday and Friday night, Patten catapulted Tracks into one of the most popular nightclubs on the East Coast and arguably the nation.
During his career, Patten has always been recognized by his peers for introducing his audiences to the newest music, he has been credited by many in the Industry for “Breaking” new genres of in the United States during the 90’s and has played a pivotal role in launching the careers to the next level of then local Artists and now some of the hottest on the dance charts today, such as BT, Ultra Nate and Deep Dish. Patten even held a seat on the royal panel alongside Danny Tenaglia and David Morales, among others in the early years of Miami’s illustrious Winter Music Conference (WMC) when the fight to get Electronic Dance Music heard on the radio all began.
2012 marked Patten’s return to the Music Industry where he has been doing his part to restore order in D.C.'s nightlife. Upon his return he has since launched Elektrik Metro Radio, currently ranked Washington D.C.’s #1 Online House Music radio station, with over 40k listeners in 49 countries worldwide, and began the Elektrik Metro House Vibes Mix Sessions Radio Show which is simulcast on Club Vibez U.K., the United Kingdom’s #1 Online Dance Music radio station, showcasing, new DJ’s, Artists, Recording Labels as well as many highly respected names in the Dance Music industry.
