Electric Zoo Festival 2011

With the new year coming up, it’s not too early to start thinking about plans for 2011. And it’s official: Electric Zoo is a must-do on the calendar of any electronic music lover. Electric Zoo 2010 was a smashing success and Electric Zoo 2011 promises to be even bigger and better, expanding to three days over Labor Day Weekend: Friday, September 2nd to Sunday, September 4th, 2011 on Randall’s Island Park in New York City. In only its second year, Electric Zoo 2010 saw a sold-out, 50,000-person crowd, with over 70 of the world’s best DJs dropping beats for two days of sunshine and dancing. From techno, trance and dubstep to house and electro and more, there was something for every electronic music aficionado. Last year's lineup included 2010 DJ Mag Top 10 DJs Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Gareth Emery, Markus Schulz and Axwell, as well as the Grammy-nominated Chemical Brothers, Wolfgang Gartner, and Dirty South, along with Moby, Richie Hawtin and Major Lazer. In Armin van Buuren’s words: “New York finally has the [Electronic Dance Music] festival it deserves.”
