Evan Bluetech is a classically trained pianist and master of the art of software production. Always keeping an ear open for new sounds, and stretching his musical palette with numerous aliases and collaborations, he proudly presents his new band Satori Social. Avoiding limitation by subgenre or stylistic restrictions, he is always looking to explore fresh ideas with his instantly recognizable attention to detail and unique production aesthetic.

Not content to play it safe, and seeking to expand the "producer behind a laptop" paradigm of electronic music, he hand picked a group of accomplished musicians to help him realize a more engaging live experience and Satori Social was born. Combining elements of dub, downtempo, soul, funk, and modern electronic music, the Satori Social project builds on the sonic worlds of previous Bluetech material, while stretching into new dimensions of evocative modern music, and is evolving into an experience that is more than the sum of it's parts, both in the live experience and new material born from the collaborative writing process.

The cast of characters includes Katrina Blackstone, a jazz trained vocalist from NYC with a passionate vocal presence, Russell Scott, an exceptionally talented multi- instrumentalist on various horns, flute, synth and keys, Jason 'Cedar' Miller, an inspired and expressive percussionist, and Evan Bluetech himself running the live mix and playing keys and synth.

MAT THE ALIEN

Whistler, BC Canada

Really Good Records

Let’s clear something up. Technically Mat is not an Alien. He grew up not too far from Manchester (u.k.) and moved to Canada in the mid 90’s to follow his snowboarding addiction which he stumbled upon during a trip to Austria. He has been dj’ing since 1988 and was inspired to play the drums by local bands such as (The Stone Roses and Happy Mondays) after being introduced to the d.j. culture of the acid house warehouse party’s he was hooked on blending beat’s on the turntables. He further developed his style while working in his family’s record store(opened by his dad at age 4. Mats music selection appeals to a wide variety of crowds, spanning many genres from Hip-Hop,Glitch Hop,Dubstep,funk,dance-hall,breakbeats,electro,drum & bass, rock, and more. He learned this from dj’ing in Whistler to varied crowds of people visiting from all over the world. His style has been described by Knowledge Magazine as, “Awe inspiring & Some next level shit.”
