Alpha Pup NYC presents Teebs & Saturn Never Sleeps July 30
After two months of sold out shows, Alpha Pup NYC returns to the Knitting Factory Brooklyn on July 30 with Brainfeeder beatmaker Teebs and Saturn Never Sleeps, King Britt’s experimental electronic duo with soul singer Rucyl.
Producer/painter/skateboarder Teebs returns to his birthplace of New York with a brilliant palette of beats. Filtering warm tones through elegant layers of sound, Teebs’ music elevates with a hushed yet heavy glow. His most recent album Ardour feels like “it has no manmade origin” (Pitchfork), and the young artist has plans to release a new collection of tracks this fall on the Brainfeeder label.
Producer/DJ King Britt and science fiction singer/producer Rucyl are Saturn Never Sleeps. The duo’s debut album, Yesterday's Machine (out August 2), combines a create-in-the-moment vibe with inspirational lyrics and vocal sonics that range from Sade tones to Flora Purim's ethereal layers.
With reinforced subharmonics and more special guests to be announced, Alpha Pup NYC takes place July 30 and every last Saturday of the month at the Knitting Factory, located at 361 Metropolitan Avenue in Brooklyn, New York from 12am to 4am. The show is all ages and tickets are available on the Knitting Factory website.
