Protohype & Init - Bombs Away (Kezwik Remix)
By: Jordan Calvano
Over the last few months, breakout producers Kezwik (Micahel Jones) and Protohype (Max Pote) have been appearing on a grip of tracks together, resulting in thunderous tunes with rampant bass bursts and contagious drum patterns. The two producers have two uniquely contrasting sounds, but when blended together it is nothing short of magic.
On their latest endeavor, we witness Jones stepping up big time with a huge official remix of a Protohype/Init track out tomorrow, July 11th, on Simplify Recordings. The Bombs Away single is a huge leap for Protohype & Init, who are showcasing a powerful original track that contains pumped up vocal samples and aggressive, dubbed out tones. The release will also feature heart stopping switch ups by Dirt Monkey, Flavours, and Tut Tut Child, who all put their own buttery spin on the already impressive track.
The Kezwik version of “Bombs Away,” is a synth driven, bass blaring track that perfectly contrasts his two opposing sides—enticingly melodic and undeniably heavy. The song opens with gentle piano chords that eventually unravel into complete chaos.
Jones strikes again on a momentous revamp that is perfect for dropping on a wild crowd. Make sure to check out the original along with all the remixes this package has to offer, because they’re all worth a listen.
